One of the major challenges facing the world today is insecurity. It could be in the area of lives, properties, job and the likes. More often than not, people are searching for defense, refuge and security here and there but all to no avail. Sometimes, people tend to depend on government but the simple reality is that government itself is in need of security. The psalmist understood this and acknowledges that safety and refuge cannot be secured but only from God.
Eternal God is the only rock that can never fail. The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run into and are safe. Come to Him today and you will surely find rest for your soul.

LORD, be my refuge and security from henceforth and throughout my entire life.

TODAY’S WORD
Success is not measured by the size of your wealth and riches, academic accomplishment, longevity of life or popularity or fame, but it means the ability to discover and fulfill why God has created you in life. You are on your way to success immediately you take a bold step to discover the reason or purpose why God created and you passionately pursue it. How will that be possible when you are not in partnership with God? Can two walk together except they be in agreement? (Amos 3:3). You can only do that by willingly surrendering your life to Jesus Christ today.
As you do that, he will reveal Himself to you, He will guide and lead you on the right path and give your destiny a meaningful direction and after all He will take you to a heaven of rest.

TODAY’S WORD
The beauty of Christianity is reflected in humility. It is a virtue expected to be demonstrated by genuinely converted believer. Whatsoever you may possess, whatever you might have achieved in life and whatsoever position you may find yourself let the totality of the glory be attributed unto God and not unto yourself. The bible says a man nothing except it be given him from above. All that we have in life are given through divine providence from God. Our actions, words, conducts and comportment should and must be characterized by lowliness of heart and humble spirit.
Pride is of the from the devil but humility comes from God. Pride leads to destruction and downfall but humility leads to exaltation and honour.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Lord always give me the grace to be humble in all areas of my life and deliver me from the spirit of pride.
Religious or Righteous
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
"For I say unto you, that except your righteousness exceed the righteousness of the scribes and the Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."

TODAY'S WORD:
Relationship with GOD is more than playing religion. It entails possessing this very nature. The bible says can two walk together except they be in agreement? It is not enough for someone to go to church, having great titles, encumbered with many religious rites or activities, giving alms to the poor, observing regular fasting and prayer, speaking in tongues and many more. All these are good but they are not highly esteemed in the sight of GOD as producing the fruit of righteousness.
Jesus warned his disciples to desist from the righteousness of the scribes and the pharisees who only had the form of godliness but denied the power thereof. Living a righteous life is by faith in God through regeneration and by outward exhibition of good deeds and struggle in human flesh.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:
Lord impact in me the true nature of righteousness within me that I may be like thee.
Grow Up, Don't Go Up

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ....
II Peter 4:18
TODAY'S WORD:
The subject of growth is a natural phenomenon. As days go upon days, we are growing in age by and by. But it is not enough to grow in age without growing in mental ability and capability, for this will amount to immaturity and intellectual deficiency.
Hence, as you grow in days learn to grow in grace. Maturity is not a function of age. Let your growth in years be matched with corresponding growth in your thought, words, actions, conduct and behaviors.Do not go up through life but grow up through life.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:
Lord help me daily not to only go up through life but to grow up through life.
